Silo Coffee + Goods seeks to be the homestead where people, products, and causes converge in the Midwest. We're dedicated to direct trade, specialty coffee and funding clean water projects in coffee farming communities. Silo Coffee + Goods is dedicated to serving high quality, gourmet coffee that does more than just give you a caffeine boost. Silo Coffee provides good coffee that does good in the world. By purchasing Silo Coffee you are partnering with small coffee farmers to create economic opportunities that help them escape the cycle of poverty. In addition, a portion of every purchase goes to our partner Solea Water to ensure that these farmers have safe drinking water in their communities. Silo Coffee + Goods’ close relationship with Solea Water means that we can source coffee beans from the same communities that Solea Water invests in through clean water projects. It’s a novel method to help to alleviate extreme poverty in Latin America: we fund the provision of basic needs and the creation of economic opportunities for indigenous peoples through the same systems that would otherwise oppress them. Many coffee companies tell the stories of their coffee farmers, but Silo Coffee + Goods will have an even closer partnership with the coffee farmers, ensuring that social good is considered in every step of the coffee process - from a seed to a coffee cup to a glass of water.
